Andy Tougas , Partner

The newest member to the NHS team, Andy is a 19 year construction professional. Building residential and commercial buildings throughout Seattle and the Northwest, Andy has concentrated on fine homes and architecturally interesting remodels with strict attention to sustainability.

Focusing on the construction process to minimize waste, Andy selects materials to address the green building concept and ensures the mechanical and electrical components are chosen to help reduce energy consumption lowering the operating costs of the home. Andy received his BAS degree in construction management.

As a general contractor, project engineer and project manager Andy has always been fascinated by the construction and remodeling industry updating homes both big and small, from the ground up to the final finishes.

A native of Bellevue, Mr. Miller has over 25 years specializing in high end custom home construction, kitchen and bath remodel and design. With the exception of a few years as a teenager in Switzerland, Mr. Miller has spent the majority of his professional life in the Northwest making him highly qualified with issues concerning retrofitting homes for waterproofing and earthquake. On a rare day off, Mr. Miller can be found either enjoying fresh powder on the slopes, recording in his music studio, or biking with friends around Lake Washington.

Marybeth MacFarland, Managing Member

Marybeth studied design and illustration at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California. After graduation, she packed her bags and moved to New York City where she worked as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer for major publications and advertising firms. Returning to her native home town of Seattle in 2001, Marybeth has found great satisfaction in transforming her design skills into home building. "I really enjoy designing livable space." Gathering the best local expertise and talent she founded New Home Solutions in 2003.

Marybeth speaks French fluently and is working on her broken Spanish. In the winter she enjoys a trip to the mountains for a hike or skiing. On a hot day in the summer there is no place she’d rather be than in or on Lake Washington.
